Iran hosts Spanish film

Award-winning film 'Giant' has been screened at the Cup of Divination section of the Fajr International Film Festival.

Co-directed by Jon Garano and Aitor Arregi, the film was screened in Charsu Cineplex in Tehran.

"After the First Carlist War, Martín heads back to his family's farmhouse, and he finds out with surprise that his little brother Joaquín is much taller than usual height. Martín becomes convinced that people will be willing to see the "tallest man on Earth", so they travel around Europe, and the wealth and the level of fame they achieve changes the family forever," the synopsis of 'Giant' reads.

Established in 1982, the FIff celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The festival came to an end on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Tehran.
